Contrappeso: sassi, rocce e massi is a project born from the verticality of the body, one stone on top of another, a menhir or a dolmen, the megalith. From the stone, always timeless, to the everyday object. Reference is made to different types of constructions on a visual and theoretical level in order to understand how they relate to each other, where this type of repetition comes from, exercised throughout history, seeking to describe something that we seem to have forgotten. We question their meaning in order to create our own.
The project also refers to the temporality of the material, a balance that becomes precarious: natural and impermanent materials confront the everyday material in plastic and glass. Among the references is Walkscapes by Francesco Careri and Petit Lexique du Mégalithisme by Arnal’s.

Editorial and photography project realised in collaboration with the graphic designers Francesca Barizza and Alice Teodorani. Printed at ISIAU, 16 x 24cm, 280 pages. 2024
